I took Jim to the airport early this morning. He's heading back to Canada tomorrow after staying in Michigan tonight to visit his family. Jim manages renewable energy construction projects and recently started a wind farm in Tumbler Falls, BC. It's definitely tough on our little family having him so far away, but with the economy as it is, we are blessed that he is working.
Chloe did so well yesterday with her activity level and eating/drinking. I'm worried that with Jim gone, she will go into a funk. She spent hours laying in the hallway today, waiting for "Dad" to come home. Breaks my heart :( She did eat food out of her bowl, without coaxing, this afternoon. This is HUGE! I have had to basically hand feed her the past couple of weeks. She is on a medication that is supposed to stimulate her appetite. Seems like it's beginning to work a little better. We will keep our fingers crossed!
We have an appointment tomorrow afternoon with her specialist. She loves Dr. Lyon! Bloodwork needs to be done to see how her kidney values are doing. They also need a urine sample. Because Chloe goes through so much already, I attempt to spare her any additional poking and prodding by collecting her urine myself. In the beginning, it was a relatively easy task. But now she's onto me! If she glimpes the specimen container in my hand, she'll run away from me! When I am able to catch her, I swear she squats down lower to make it harder on me! It's not pleasant for either of us, but hey, you gotta do what you gotta do!
Please keep your fingers crossed for stable results! Good Night :)
